Classic Turkey Wet Brine
For real turkey fans nothing beats the smell of a turkey baking away with the kitchen filled with the smell of the meat and spices like rosemary, marjoram and thyme. Your mouth waters as you begin thinking about the bird and gravy with mashed potatoes and stuffing. If it's good, then you are going to have a hard time controlling yourself. Classic things don't need to change, they just need to get better. We use high quality spices and tested formulas to give you the classic experience of something you never had.
Wet Brine
Tired of dry turkey? The a wet brine is the answer for you. While our turkey rub gives a more vibrant flavor, the brine adds water and flavor to your bird or pork making it juicy.
Suitable for all fowl and pork. I used it on some cheap pork chops and brined them for 4 hrs and they were juicy and lightly flavored. Very good eating.
How To Use
The bag makes 2 gal of brine which is enough for a 17 lb turkey. If you are brining chicken then make a proportionate amount of brine to the weight.
Take 4 C of water and add all the mix and boil for about 10 min. you are basically making a tea for the brine. Then add ice to cool down or let cool naturally and add the rest of the water until you have 2 gal (28 C). You can put your brine in the refrigerator until its cold.
You will need to put the turkey in a 5 gal bucket or a big pot and put it in your refrigerator. So you need a lot of room to wet brine a big bird.
NOTE:
Make sure the brine is cold before adding meat.

Thin pieces like pork chops - 4 hrs
Whole Turkey up to 16 Lbs or multiple chickens - 24 hrs
